Eligibility for Writing the DISA (ISA) Exam – ICAI
The DISA Exam, officially known as the Information Systems Audit (ISA) Assessment Test, is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It is designed exclusively for Chartered Accountants who want to specialize in Information System Auditing.
Who is Eligible to Write the DISA Exam? To be eligible for the ISA Assessment Test (AT) (i.e., the DISA Exam), a candidate must meet all the following conditions:
1. Be a Qualified Chartered Accountant
- You must be a member of ICAI (i.e., a CA).
- Students or non-CAs are not eligible.
2. Register for the ISA 3.0 Course - Must be officially registered for the ISA 3.0 course through the ICAI Digital Learning Hub.
3. Complete the ISA e-Learning Module - Complete a 20-hour online e-Learning component.
- Pass the online test associated with e-Learning.
4. Attend ISA Professional Training (PT) - Undergo 72 hours (12 days) of classroom or online training.
- Must maintain 90% attendance.
- Complete all module tests, project work, and viva.
- Achieve minimum 60% marks in internal assessments.
5. Pass the Eligibility Test (ET) - Conducted by ICAI after PT.
- Must score at least 60% marks to qualify for the final exam.
6. Apply for the ISA Assessment Test (AT) - Only after passing the ET can you apply to write the final DISA/ISA AT exam.
- Application must be submitted during the official ICAI window (e.g., May–June for July exam).
