  • The RRB Group D application fee varies depending on the category: 
  1. General and OBC: Rs. 500 Women, SC, ST, and PwD: Rs. 250
  2.  The RRB Group D exam qualification is a minimum of 10th standard or ITI or equivalent. 
  •  The age limit for the RRB Group D exam is generally between 18 and 33 years. However, there are age relaxations for reserved categories:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwD: 10 years

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
  • Candidates who qualify the CBT are required to pass a physical fitness test.

  • Qualifying Nature: The PET is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must meet the minimum standards to proceed further.
  • Tests: The specific tests and standards vary slightly depending on the post and category (male/female). However, common tests include:
  • Weight Lifting and Carrying: Candidates are required to lift and carry a specified weight (35 kg for males, 20 kg for females) for a distance of 100 meters within a given time limit.
  • Running: A timed run, usually 1000 meters, is conducted to assess endurance
3. Document Verification and Medical Examination:
  • Candidates who clear the PET are required to submit documents for verification.
  • They also undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the required fitness standards.
  • A-2 Physically fit in all respect Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (no fogging test) Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision etc.
  • A-3 Physically fit in all respect Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses should not exceed 2D).Near Vision: Sn- 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must clear test for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, myopic vision etc.
  • B-1 Physically fit in all respect Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses should not exceed 4D),Near Vision: Sn- 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic vision etc.

  • A final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the CBT and PET.
